In Roman Catholic tradition, families enrol the names of their loved ones to be remembered at a Mass on a given day to mark significant moments in life. In Whitefriar Street Church, Mass is offered each week for those whose names are enrolled in the Share Mass Intentions Book. These names are included in the twice weekly Share Mass for a year from the date of enrolment.
On the front of this Mass card for the bereaved are images of flowers with the words ‘For the Bereaved. This is my wish for your: comfort on difficult days, Smiles when sadness intrudes, sunsets to warm your heart , beauty for your eyes to see, and Friendships to brighten your path’.
When the Online Mass card for the bereaved is opened out, on the left hand page are the words ‘Father, your love never fails, hear our call. Keep us from danger and provide for all our needs. The card is signed by the Prior of Whitefriar Street Church. Please note that this card is intended for the living, the family that have been bereaved.
On the right hand page it reads: ‘That God will continue to bless you with his caring presence I have arranged that [recipient’s name] will share in the Masses and prayers of the Carmelites at Whitefriar Street, Dublin. With best wishes from [sender’s name]’.
This Online Mass card for the Bereaved is produced in Ireland and comes with a white envelope.
